Xbox360 and the HD-DVD Drive
It has been announced that the xbox360 will support the next generation optical disc format HD-DVD However, to play the discs an addon external drive will be required, shipping some time in 2006
Previously Microsoft has said that the company would not be delivering an
HD-DVD equipped Xbox 360. allow movie playback rather than as a games medium.
When released it is likly that the external HD-DVD drive will only be used for playing movies and not games.
